    Practice Self-Control

Do yourself a favor and put self control into practice.  I got off of work and decided to treat myself to a burrito at Chipotle.  I ordered a chicken burrito with black beans, rice, onions, green peppers, sour cream, two helpings of cheese, corn sauce, corn salsa, tomato salsa, and tomatilla red-chili salsa.  This was one fat burrito.  I ordered plain chips and stopped at a gas station to buy my favorite soda – Sprite.  I ate the chips on the way home.  I got home got comfortable and are my burrito while looking at the Young and the Restless.  I couldn’t finish the whole burrito so I waited five minutes before I stuffed the rest down my throat.  I drank about half of my Sprite.  About 10 minutes later I started to feel queasy.  I said to myself “oh-oh”.  I was praying that what was about to happen did not happen.  I could not fight it back any longer. I grabbed the Chipotle bad that I left by the coach and up-chucked my burrito.  It was horrible.  The hot tomatilla red-chili sauce burned my throat as it came back up.  I didn’t up-chuck once . . . I up-chucked about 7 times.  I am not exaggerating.  Each time burned my little throat.  After I finished, I put the bag on the scale and it weighed 2 pounds.  Yup.  Two pounds of stomach waste.  So I urge you to please practice self control.  This is so vitally important when it comes to eating.  I’m fine and I do not feel hungry, but I learned a serious lesson this evening.  If your brain is telling your stomach, “hey, you’re full”, STOP EATING.  Put the food down and save the rest for later.  I only wrote this graphical, gross blog because I care about you all and would not want anyone to go through this.

    Up and at em'

I am so proud of myself.  I am preparing to enter into the Body for Life Challenge.  I want to get my metabolism up and ready for the compitition.  Because I am a single mother and have so many things to do in the evening, I have to wake up early to complete my exercises.  Until Febraury 11, 2008, which is the first date for round one of the Body for Life Challenge, I am focusing on cardio.  I have to wake up at 3:50AM in order to get in 20 minutes of cardio, get my son ready, and get out the door.  Well I finally did it.  I said to myself and to God that I was going to make a change for the better in the year 2008.  So I did it.  This morning I woke up at 3:50AM and did 20 minutes of cardio.  Listening to music really helped me along.  GO ANGEL!!!

    Scripture for the Year

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
